A very collectable Carltonware Tea Service modelled on the classic British Policeman's iconic uniform. The Tea Service consists of a teapot with a lid formed as a policeman’s helmet; Milk Jug and Sugar Basin. This is a relatively late piece (c.1980s) – made after the Carltonware name and business was bought by Arthur Wood & Sons in 1968 and one of their news designs by John McCluskey. All pieces are correctly marked with “CARLTON Ware” “Made in England” in the Cooper Black typeface in yellow and applied as a lithographic slide-on transfer. This is a heavy set and will be relatively costly to mail outside the UK. So, please feel free to email me for an accurate shipping rate to where you live.
