This is a stunning high quality handmade figure of Venetian origin.
The figure is formed from mottled green, pale yellow and white glass. The green glass is mottled and forms her voluminous skirt, bodice and hat. The skirt is encased in a thin layer of flint glass, which is ridged at the hem. Her hair, collar, ruffled cuffs and belt are formed from yellow glass. The arms, face and neck are in an opaque white. The skirt is pinched together in the centre and held by lobes of yellow glass that merge with the domed base. The latter is slightly ribbed and has a rough pontil mark underneath.
Condition: Excellent
Dimensions: It has a height of approximately 27.0cm. It has a maximum width across the skirt of about 21.0cm.
