Unusual Whitefriars 16 Arctic Blue Knopped Bud Vase No. 9284 |

This is a highly unusual, simple yet elegant bud vase of a classic 1950s design by Whitefriars Glass.
The vase has a wide, domed foot, above which is a teardrop shaped knop enclosing a bubble. There is a solid neck, continuous with the knop, which then sweeps out to become the hollow tapering bowl.
This bud vase has the pattern number 9284 and can be found on both page 13 of the 1957 catalogue and page 16 of the 1964 catalogue. Because production of this size of bud vase only ran for 7 years it makes it a highly desirable piece.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
