This is a stunning, high quality example of a cut lead crystal fruit bowl by Waterford Crystal.
The bowl is cut with six large leaf-shaped panels, which extend downwards from just below the rim to meet at the centre of the base. Each panel is surrounded by a pair of wedge cuts and filled with crosscut diamonds. At the point at which adjacent ‘leaves’ touch, there is a deep leaf-shaped wedge cut. Above this is a large criss-cross, with elongated lower limbs that spread out to meet the side of adjacent leaves. The area below this criss-cross is filled with a fan, which abuts on the leaf-shaped wedge cut. To the side of each criss-cross is a further five-pointed fan.
Alternate criss-crosses are cut on their upper limbs with a large semicircular notch, that extends upwards to the rim.
The bowl is marked within the cutting with the word ‘WATERFORD’. In addition, it bears the original Waterford sticker, which reads ‘WATERFORD GLASS LTD HAND MADE IN REPUBLIC OF IRELAND’.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.

Dimensions: It has a height of approximately 9.5cm and a diameter at the rim of about 22.8cm.
