ROLL TOP CASE HISTOLOGICAL DYES |
Dateline: Circa 1920s |
Item# 34189 |
THIS ORIGINAL FULL CASED SET OF HISTOLOGICAL DYES WAS MANUFACTURED BY GEORGE T. GURR. OF 136 NEW KINGS ROAD LONDON, SW6 IN THE 1920’S.
THE WOODEN CASE WHICH I BELIEVE MAY BE OAK HAS A FULLY WORKING ROLLER TOP OPENING. THE FULL SET OF 16 BOTTLES COMPRISES 14 DYES AND 2 “ODD” BOTTLES, WHICH CONTAINED THE FIXATIVES.
FOR THOSE NOT IN THE MEDICAL FRATERNITY, I SHOULD EXPLAIN THAT THESE DYES WERE USED FOR THE EXAMINATION OF TISSUES SAMPLES IN PATHOLOGY LABS.
MEASURING 295mm WIDE 250mm DEEP AND 248mm HIGH.
THIS REALLY IS A MOST UNUSUAL AND DELIGHTFUL FIND.
POSTAGE AT COST - NO EXTRA FOR PACKAGING
