Sarcophagus shaped Coromandel tea caddy - ?George III ?. Inside has 2 separate and lidded wooden tea boxes and a central, fine cut glass mixing bowl. Ruched and tasselled red Morrocco lining to lid which is missing two silk tassels. This caddy has been sympathetically restored in consideration of its age and the base has new green baize and 4 new brass ball feet. The brass side ring handles are supposedly original, as are the hinges and lock (no key). In very good condition all over and has been lovingly cared for in my family for many years.
