A nice hand painted Myott Dante Jug in a strong Art Deco pattern. Also known as a ‘Chicken Neck Jug’ or 'Egyptian Jug', this Dante’s pattern is composed of styled ovular flowers in yellow and orange with brown stems and foliage. The handle, base and inside the spout are coloured in brown.
This Dante Jug is fully marked to the base with the gold crown of Myott and also marked with the British American Glass mark of B.A.G. Co. Ltd. The item dates from between 1930 – 1942.
