A Late 19th century ivory Staunton Library Chess Set by Jaques of London. The chessmen of natural and cochineal red stained carved and turned ivory. The white king with impressed mark (worn) to its base "Jaques London". One knight and one rook from each side with impressed mark of small crown to their tops to donate kings side when playing. Contained in a green baize lined divided lift up top storage mahogany box.
King 3 inches (7.6 cm.) high.
