A beautiful and distinctive Chinese vase dating from the early part of the 20th century. The vase stands 11 inches high and is decorated with dragonflies in flight in shades of blue on a grey-blue ground with a crackle glaze. The design is very unusual and is more typical of Japanese ware, but there was much cross-referencing between China and Japan at this time, and the material, potting and glaze are distinctly Chinese. This is a lovely and unusual Chinese piece and is in excellent condition.
