THE LORD'S PRAYER FOR CHILDREN explained and illustrated by Margaret Tempest, was first published in 1943. This reprint is complete with dust-jacket and the frontspiece states "This is the Prayer that Jesus Christ Himself taught us." It is dedicated to the children of Kersey Village School. Each verse of the prayer is printed on a separate page and underneath is aan explanation or modern English version of the meaning of the verse. On the opposite page is a coloured plate with young children involved in activities relevant to the prayer. The illustrations are a particular delight and Margaret Tempest was a talented artist who specialised in children's books.
