A Victorian Swiss made 18ct gold pocket watch with a 9ct gold chain & gold key in a fitted box. The 18 carat gold full hunter case measures 1,5/8" (41mm) diameter excluding the stem & is engine turned with ornate decorations front & rear, there is hardly any wear. There are a few minor pinhead sized dings to the front cover. The front cover springs open when the button on the stem is pressed, the rear & rear inner covers are hinged, all close firmly & evenly. The stem is marked K18, the inside of the rear cover is also marked K18. The rear inner cover is marked No 15890 13 JEWELS. PATENT LEVER. BAILLOD Geneve. The dial is excellent with no chips or hairlines. The Swiss lever movement is running well & keeping good time, it is key wound & set through the rear inner cover. The 9 carat gold chain measures 10" (255mm) in length, it is marked 9C on the t-bar, on the end & on the clip, there is a gold heart shaped key attached. It all comes in a very nice leathercloth box which is velvet & silk lined having the retailers name CHARLES DESPREZ. 86 PARK STREET BRISTOL.
