Diamond set Swiss silver fob watch with enamelled pansy |

A highly decorative Swiss made Victorian pocket watch by DIDO with an enamelled silver case set with a diamond. This watch would have been given as a love token as in Victorian times the pansy was the symbol of thoughts of love. The front & rear covers are snap-on, both close firmly & evenly. The front cover is enamelled in cream, the rear cover has an enamelled pansy on a cream background, the centre is set with a diamond. The case is in excellent condition with no dents & no enamel loss. The dial is very good with Roman numerals & gold coloured dots on the chapter ring every 5 minutes. There are 2 small edge chips only visible if the front cover is removed, there are also some very faint hairlines these are very hard to see. The hands are the original fancy type & are pin set, to move them push in the pin on the edge at I & turn the crown. The cylinder movement is signed DIDO it is also marked Swiss. Running well & keeping good time.

Dimensions: 1,1/16 (27mm) diameter excluding stem.
