An art deco style 9 carat gold pocket watch made for Garrard by Vertex & presented by Vauxhall Motors for 25 years service. The slim case has a smooth finish, the rear cover is engraved WILLIAM JAMES WHITE. 25 YEARS SERVICE. VAUXHALL MOTORS LTD. It is in excellent condition with no dents, there is a vertical scratch on the rear. The covers are snap-on, both close firmly & evenly. The inside of the rear cover is marked VERTEX. MADE IN ENGLAND. It has the London hallmark for 1960. The slightly domed glass is excellent. The 2 tone art deco style dial is excellent. The high quality lever movement is marked VERTEX REVUE SWISS MADE 17 JEWELS. It is running well & keeping good time. Comes with the original presentation box which is also in excellent condition. The inside is marked GARRARD & Co LTD. CROWN JEWELLERS. 112 REGENT ST W1. Formerly THE GOLDSMITHS & SILVERSMITHS COMPANY LTD.
