A first world war ladies Rolex wristwatch in 9 ct gold with an expanding gold on silver bracelet. The case has hinged front & rear covers, both closing firmly & evenly. There are no engravings or initials. The inside of the rear cover is marked ROLEX W&D 9K 728921 SWISS, there is also the London import mark for 1915. The dial has a slight hairline outside of the chapter ring between 10 & 11, hardly visible when the front cover is closed. The skeleton numbers retain most of their original luminous paint infill (although no longer luminous after over 90 years). The movement is marked ROLEX 15 JEWELS SWISS MADE. It is running well & keeping good time. The expanding sprung bracelet is marked 9ct ON SILVER. The watch & bracelet will fit a wrist of between approx' 6,1/4" (160mm) & 8,1/4" (210mm)
