Russian market, Swiss made 14ct gold pocket watch |

A rare hunting cased gold watch made in Switzerland in the 19th century for the Russian market with original box & a certificate of authenticity. The 14 ct gold case is in excellent condition, the engine turning is hardly worn, the front cover has the initials RS (or SR) in the centre. There is some minor bruising on the rear & edge, all covers close fimly & evenly, the front cover springs open when the button is depressed, both rear covers are marked 14K. The rear dustcover has Russian writing engraved upon it. The dial is excellent with no chips or cracks. The Swiss lever movement is running well & keeping good time to within a few minutes per day. The hands are pin set, to move the hands, press in the button at IIII & turn the crown.The original box is in excellent condition, the inside of the lid has the Russian double headed eagle & cyrillic script. There is also a letter of authenticity from Voltaire antiques. More photographs are available.
