An English pair cased verge. The matching heavy gauge silver cases both have the London hallmark for 1815 & the case makers mark IG. Both hinges and catches work perfectly. The outer case has some small dents on the rear, the inner case has some minor bruising near the key hole, there are no engravings. The bullseye glass is excellent. The dial is excellent with no chips or hairlines, there is a short scratch near 2. The verge movement is signed SAML HULBERT. MARSHFIELD & has the serial number 1001. (Marshfield is 8 miles north of Bath) The finely pierced watchcock has an image of a grotesque mask. It is running well & keeping good time for a verge watch, gaining about 45 minutes per day.

Dimensions: 2,3/16" (56mm) diameter excluding stem.
