A first world war British army issue watch made by Elgin. These American made waches were supplied to the British army from 1915. The case has screw on front & rear covers. The rear cover has been polshed almost smooth, but still has the remains of the military arrow & the issue number. The bevelled glass has some scuffing at the centre. The dial has a couple of hairlines, although being black these are hardly noticeable with the front cover on. The movement is marked ELGIN NAT'L WATCH CO. USA SEVEN JEWELS 19917590. It is running well & keeping good time.
