Early 19th Century large Gilt over mantle mirror.
Early 19th Century Gilt over mantle Mirror being W1Vth Circa 1830s. Features the original Georgian glass with a small amount of foxing commensurate with age. The gilded frame comprises of attractive elliptic pilasters with acanthus foliage rising from the base terminating in spectacular "handed" scrolling acanthus foliage which really adds a great deal of character to this stunning mirror. Retains its original paneled back and is extremely hard to find this particular style of mirror especially in this size.
