A classic Scottish Sterling Silver necklace with drop, mounted with a very large faceted golden citrine. An exceptional quality piece, made by the Famous Edinburgh Maker T.K. Ebbutt. The oval citrine is set in an intricate cut-away silver setting and the surrounding border is hand engraved with Scottish thistles and foliate scrolls. The chain is all original and fastens with a shepherd's hook. Suspended beneath is a facet cut oval Citrine drop set in a milled edged open back bezel setting. The large stone measures 26mm across by 20mm down and estimated at 35 carats. The droplet citrine measures 13mm across by 19mm down, and is an estimated 11 carats. The stones are clear and bright with a beautiful pale gold colour. Edinburgh Hallmark for 1972. Makers Mark T.E. for T.K.Ebbutt & marked SCOTLAND. Measuring: Pendant 1 1/2" Wide x 1 1/4" High. (40 x 32 mm). Pendant Height incl Drop 2 1/4" (56 mm). Chain 18" (46cm). Shepherd's hook clasp fastener. A superb and rare necklace with no chips to the stones in excellent condition.
