Felipe Martinez trained as a sculptor and opened his shop Piedra Y Plata (Stone and Silver) in Taxco. Mexico, in 1950. His work is exceptionally rare and highly sought after, not only because of the superb quality and considered "wholeness" of his pieces, but also because he only produced jewellery for a few years. This bracelet is a stunning example of his work, comprising six links each having five inlaid circular turquoise panels. It's fully hallmarked to the interior Piedra Y Plata, Martinez, Sterling, Taxco, Eagle mark 3 and the inventory number 276. With a secure clasp and a safety chain, the braceet is for the smaller wrist (see dimensions). This is a dramatic and exciting piece of jewellery.
