19th Century Dwarf Ale Glass with Cut Thistle Design |

This is a lovely example of a 19th century cut lead crystal dwarf ale glass.
The bowl is conical in shape and has a continuous spray of stylised thistles wrapped around the bowl. The short plain stem has a rounded knop at the junction with the bowl. The foot is domed with a rough pontil.
The height of this glass is approximately 12.3cm, with a diameter at the rim of about 5.3cm and at the foot of about 5.8cm.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, although it does have some inclusions in the bowl in the form of frit and bubbles.
