Late 19th Century Enamelled Continental Green Glass Jug |

This is a lovely example of a continental glass jug, probably dating to about 1880 to 1890.
The body of the jug is vertically ribbed on the inside. The outside has an enamelled and gilded pattern of stylised flowers and leaves on both sides, known as ‘Lily of the Valley’. The rim has the remains of the original gilding. The handle has been applied separately. The base is slightly domed and has a rough pontil mark.
The jug has a height of approximately 16.7cm, with a diameter at the rim of about 7.7cm and at the base of about 7.2cm.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
