This is a pair of high quality cut lead crystal pan champagne glasses, probably dating to around 1870.
The pan shaped bowl has been pulled out at the base to form a cylindrical stem. The foot is plain and flat, and has been applied separately. The base of the bowl has been cut with six petals, which extend downwards onto the stem as vertical facets with a rounded base. The stem is therefore hexagonal in section.
Any liquid placed in the bowl therefore tracks downwards into the stem.
They are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
