This is a set of lovely late Georgian coloured wine glasses.
The bowl is round and blends imperceptibly with the drawn stem, such that the base of the bowl is ‘pulled’ down into the stem. The foot has been separately applied and has a central rough pontil.
The green colour of the glass is due to chromium and it also has a good lead content.
Each glass has a height of approximately 12.0cm, with a diameter at the rim of about 6.0cm and at the foot of about 5.4cm. There may be slight discrepancies in the dimensions due to the handmade nature of the glasses.
They are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
