Beautiful almost identical pair of antique Empire style French chandeliers.
A near identical pair of antique French Empire style chandeliers dating to circa 1930. These wonderful chandeliers are of purse construction, simple and elegant in style and design. The necks are slender and elegant consisting of strings of hexagonal flat back graduated crystal drops attached to a beautiful brass ornate corona at the top and a central ornate brass rim to the middle of the chandelier. The bag is formed of hexagonal flat back crystal with rectangular coffin drops between. The base of one has icicle drops hanging below the bag and the other has a brass finial. The chandeliers are identical in style and construction, one is slightly larger than the other as can be seen in the first photograph but this will not be particularly noticeable when they are hanging.
Both come with matching ceiling roses.
H 20" plus chain and rose x 12 width.
H 19" plus chain and rose x 9.75" width.
