This 9ct. gold "Sweetheart Brooch" depicts the wings of the Royal Flying Corps which was formed in the First World war in 1914 and disbanded in 1918. It shows a kings crown and initials RFC surrounded by a wreath. It is boxed and this looks to be original with a jeweller's name, W. Brough of Stromness on the inside of the lid.
