An excellent form cut black amethyst scent bottle in its original box, with a hinged, embossed silver top and collar, and a glass stopper. The bottle has light concave oval panels to the front and back, and is decorated in gold and silver gilt with sprigs, leaves, clusters and highlighting. Circa 1870, French, the lid and collar hallmarked with a boar's head, further indistinct maker's mark "S..".
Condition: Good
Dimensions: A little over 3in/6.7cm high.
