A fine, rectangular, overlay scent bottle, with a hinged silver gilt, glass lined, spring loaded cap, and unusual cork stopper with pommel grip. The bottle is cut to clear with arched, lightly concave panels highlighted with cranberry edging. The silver gilt top is masterfully embossed with foliate scrolls and a large sunflower. Circa 1880, French, the top hallmarked with a tiny boar's head.
Condition: Good
Dimensions: A little over 3¾in/9.5cm high.
