An outstanding drop shape crystal scent bottle, with a bulb form hinged silver top, silver gilt neck and collar, as well as a glass stopper. The top and lower collar have a micro mesh "frosted" ground decorated with silver gilt stars, the base of the lid is embellished with an intaglio egg band. The elegantly slim body has panel cut and scooped edges. Circa 1870, hallmarked with a French boar's head stamp and rhomboid maker's mark.
