A delightful, miniature porcelain, flower encrusted sucrier by Minton. The body covered in mainly pink flowers with brances and leaves. These little flower encrusted 'toys' were quite popular during this period. Many of the major factories producing similar wares. Almost certainly intended for adult amusement rather than as playthings for children. This sucrier would have been part of a miniature tea set. The fashion for such floral pieces, large and small, extended from c.1820 to c.1845. This particular piece dates from around 1830.
