A very attractive and rare, hand painted, porcelain finger plate dating to around 1845. Moulded with scrolls and hand painted with bunches of summer flowers in bright enamel colours and highlighted with gilding. Many Staffordshire factories produced porcelain door furniture around this time. Mainly finger plates and door knobs. Although this piece bears an impressed * mark, sadly there are no further indications as to the manufacturer of this item.
