A fine and decorative porcelain bowl made in Staffordshire around 1830. Decorated on the outside with gilt leaves and berries. The main decoration is reserved for the inside of the bowl. This consists of three elongated octagonal reserves each containing groups of summer flowers beautifully hand painted in coloured enamels. These set in a blue ground between gilt and cream borders, highlighted with gilding. The centre is again painted with a group of colourful summer flowers. Unfortunately, the manufacturer of this delightful piece is unknown. The base is unmarked.
