A teacup, saucer and side plate in an early version of this very popular and sought-after pattern by William Adams & Sons, Tunstall & Stoke, Staffordshire. Design: handpainted floral sprays surrounded by the signature "Lowestoft Border" in pink. The glaze has a distinct greenish tinge to it. Although the Calyx Ware name and the Lowestoft pattern continued in production until well into the 20th Century, the backstamp on these pieces was in use between 1896 until c. 1905.
Condition: Excellent
Dimensions: Saucer & Plate: Approx 6" (15cm) dia. Cup: Approx 2 1/2" (6cm) tall.
