Late Victorian Majolica Corn on the Cob Jug |

This is a striking and highly decorative piece of Majolica, probably dating to between 1870 and 1880.
The body is moulded to resemble a maize cob with leaves in relief, forming the spout, base, and the handle. The base has a lozenge shaped registration mark but the figures are indecipherable. The interior is glazed in pink.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, although there is some minor glaze wear to the top of the handle and the spout.
Condition: Perfect
Dimensions: It has a height to the rim of approximately 21.3cm, with a diameter at the rim of about 7.5cm.
