A Chinese blue and white charger plate decorated with transfer patterns depicting chrysanthemums (being a sign of good luck), Oriental pheasant, and abundant trees in the distance. The plate is fluted and coincides with the flowing border to the outer edge. The reverse of the shallow bowl having three swags over two block steps. This piece dates from the latter part of the 19th to early 20th Century and was probably made for the European market.
