Sir Terence Cuneo 1907 - 1996. He was a very prolific painter, everything from cars to equestrian Portraits. The Queens Offical Artist for the 1953 Coronation. He often put a mouse somewhere in his work and you will need keen eyesight to spot it. " The Spirit of Brooklands " is a Limited Edion Print number 808 of 850. This is signed by the Artist and also personalities of the racing world. Ian Connell (Vale Special, AC, ERA, Darracq) Tom Delaney (Lea - Francis) A.F. Rivers Fletcher (Bently,ERA) George Harvey - Noble (Salmson, Bugatti, MG, Bentley) "Mort" Morris - Goodall (Aston Martin). Brooklands was an iconic pre WW2 racing track with a difficult banked circuit. August Bank Holiday Meeting,1932. Sir John Cobb and Sir Henry Birkin racing alongside each other for the purse of 100 sovereigns. The meetings were abandoned with the war and Brooklands never held another meeting like this again. You can visit The Brooklands Museum and maybe catch site of the ghost of Percy Lambert as he warms up for his final race.
