THE HEART BEAT OF A TRUST is the story of a foundation and of the men and women who used its funds to pioneer for India the study of social sciences;l of fundamental sciences; the treatment of and research in cancer; integrated rural development and more recently, preservation of the country's rich heritage of the performing arts. The wealth created by Sir Dorab Tata established the institution that built the first atomic reactor in Asia. It also sent hundreds for higher studies abroad, including a blind Indian, who by a miracle of modern science, out of darkness found light.
