A Silver 4 piece Silver Cruet Set, in original case. This Cruet set is in lovely condition, pre-owned it has a dedication on the front of each piece, this reads as E.H.R from H.G.W 1894. The engraving is quite light, and could be removed by a silversmith if required. The hallmarks are well struck. This pretty set was made by W.Gibson & John Langman. It was assayed in Birmingham in 1891. The pattern on each piece is fluted from the base to mid way, then a plain band for engraving, and then fluting again. The Pepper and Salt shakers are 5cm in height, with a body diameter of 3cm. The Mustard pot is lidded and is 6cm in total height, the body diameter is 4.5cm, and has its original blue glass liner. The Spoon is 6.5cm in length, the spoon has a silver handle and a gilded bowl. The spoon is not the original one, it was made by Robert James Chaplin & Sons, and assayed in London 1899. The set is housed in its original presentation case, with gold tooling around the inside and outside of the box. There is also a good fastening button. The silver weight is 96.4grams.
