The Artificers Guild of London was one of the premier exponents of the Arts & Crafts movement, the ethos of which was defined by John Ruskin. Made by hand, fit for purpose and aesthetically pleasing. They perfectly fit the Arts & Crafts ethos. This superb handcrafted silver chalice and host dish are by The Artificers Guilds senior designer, Edward Spencer. Fully hallmarked for London 1904, they are delicately hand planished and in perfect condition. The outstanding condition is understandable as they are still in the original wooden carrying box. The padded fitted interior has the Artificers Guild name and address gold lettered on the inside of the door. Age related wear is evident to the box but emphasises the protection afforded to its valuable contents. Chalice 5” tall x 3 ¾” diam bowl Box 6” x 5 ½” x 4 ¾”
Postage is always at cost. No charges are made for packaging or handling.
