Circa 1850/60 an Oval Burr Walnut Victorian Loo Table.
Dating to Circa 1850/60 this wonderful Victorian loo table has a fabulous figured burr walnut top and is quarter veneered in bookpaged veneers and bordered by 2 lines of boxwood stringing punctuated in the corner by marquetry inlay. Below the top is a 2" frieze, again in burr walnut, with a double line of boxwood inlay. The table top lifts to allow this to be used in the vertical and horizontal and will seat 6 with ease. What is striking about this particular table is the detail to the base which is a 4 splay solid walnut base with original patination and superbly carved with 4 turned pillasters each with lobed decoration with a matching finial between. The whole raised on white porcelain china casters. Good colour and condition.
