This hand painted antique pendant is simply beautiful. The soft pastel shades of the reverse carved painting depict a winter's scence encased within a large domed Essex crystal. The mallard duck is flying o'er a pond of icy blue water against a backdrop of reeds and a steely white sky. This lovely late Victorian pendant has a serene elegance complemented by 33 exquisite cultured pearls measuring 2.5mm each that are set within hand etched 9ct gold scallop edged mounts. The pearls have a fabulous nacre which sits very well alongside the mother of pearl background. This lovely pendant comes in what appears to be its original case.
