Charles Horner Art Nouveau silver pendant decorated with green organic guilloche enamel. A superb example by Horner, the famous silversmith from Halifax. The design is typical of the period in a stylised form with a silver swirl and green enamel round spacer and triangular enamelled droplet. The green enamel is enhanced by a hint of yellow and lime green. The pendant section is crowned with 5 balls, possibly depicting berries and tendrels which are attached to an encircling vine leading to 3 large leaves across the centre. A highly collectible antique necklace in very good condition with no damage or repairs with only slight signs of ageing. Any blemishes on the pics are due to light reflection. Hallmarked Sterling Silver Chester 1911. Stamped C.H. for Charles Horner. Measuring: Chain to Spacer 16" (40cm). Pendant 1 5/8 x 1" (41 x 25 mm).
