DESIGN gives a wonderful picture of innovative design which appeared after WW2. The wold was just getting back to wanting interesting and beautiful objects, as well as functional. The idea of labour saving devices was strong but the public wanted modern, new ideas presented in an affordable product. This publication covers glass, furniture, china, lighting, domestic machinery and office equipment. With the interest in designs of that period many of the items would have pride of place in our modern homes. Industrial design is also covered as well as design ideas from other countries. The advertisements are of great interest. PRICE INCLUDES UK POSTAGE
