LAURA ASHLEY took over a large 4 storey London house which was in a serious state of disrepair and through the pages of this book brought it back to former glory and put her own stamp on the decor. The garden was re-created. Here we have the history of the house, its place in the social order of the timesfrom when it was new and its position over the years that followed. When I say "her" or "she" one must bear in mind that it was the brand, the look, which was created rather than the individual having any input. Text and research by Jane Clifford, photography by Arabella Campbell-McNair-Wilson. Hard back with DJ first edition. PRICE INCLUDES UK POSTAGE AND PACKING
