WIMBLEDON CHALLENGE is a novel concept. Home of the All England Tennis Club, it was developed in order to support the All English Club and the YMCA, founded in Wimbledon in 1875. The art work on the board was produced by MICHAEL HERRINGTON. The presentation is rather like MONOPOLY. The board folds around the inner game container and is an excellent presentation. The companies in which shares could be purchased were real companies in business at that time. Wimbledon Challenge offers fun and excitement for all the family. The younger children can become sharks on the Stock Market whilst the most astute business man can end up bankrupt. By buying and selling shares in the local companies, demanding rent from anyone who stops on your property, winning and losing on the Stock Exchange, by paying or receiving money, you have the opportunity to build up on your own business empire. You can also lose all of your money. The object of the game is to have the biggest assets (in money and shares) at the end of the game. Wimbledon Challenge is a Triangle Game and the entire profits were to be used to sustain and increase the Wimbledon YMCA's valuable youth work in the district.
