An antique Edwardian parasol in a gold beige shade with a contrasting blue trim and deep frill. The canopy is a high quality cotton linen fabric in golden beige, with hand-stitched decorative frill, made with fine pleating enhanced with light blue stitching. The wooden post and brown handle has a hole where the wrist cord or decoration would have been and there is a solid metal frame and spokes. In good condition, it opens and closes tightly, with no tears or holes and only marks in the creases and fading to be expected with age. A rare find, the parasol would make a unique and unusual visual feature. Length: 33 1/2 ins (85 cm). Open diam: 25 ins (64 cm).
