A lovely antique Edwardian parasol umbrella with flowers, birds, cherries and bow decoration.
The fabric is heavy linen or cotton with a blue/grey ground and decorated with colourful parrots or exotic birds sitting in a pear tree with flowers and foliage. The post and handle is painted and lacquered bamboo wood and the spokes are black metal with makers tag W.W.LONDON. The handle is accessorised by red cherries and a bow in the same fabric.
Very good condition and made of solid construction with no tears or holes. A very rare find, the parasol would make a unique and unusual visual feature. Length: 35 1/2 ins (90 cm). Open diam: 32 ins (82 cm). Maker: W.W.LONDON.
