BOHEMIAN FIGURAL DECORATED GOBLET VASE, POSSIBLY FRITZ HECKERT |

An arresting goblet vase, the bowl on a single bubble pedestal stem and solid conical foot. The vase has an internal frosted upper section, and features a yellow ground gilt frieze hand painted with four female figures decorating a Bacchus like statue with flower garlands and baskets of fruit. The back of the frieze displays urns with fruit either side of tied leaf garlands and ribbons. Further embellishments include two scrollwork and fruit bands, as well as a cage-work pattern of black and gilt lines. Circa 1900, Bohemian, unmarked, possibly by Fritz Heckert. Article measured in centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch.
