BOHEMIAN LIDDED GLASS JAR w/ SCHWARZLOT HAND PAINTED COMPOSERS |

A handsome ovoid form jar and cover, the latter with panel cut finial and facet cut collar, the former with a nine sided and curved facet skirt on a short rounded base; both cover and jar are cut with a pattern of parallel grooves. The piece features three schwarzlot hand painted composer medallions depicting Beethoven, Wagner and Liszt (spelt here "List"), as well as stylised floral motifs and gilt banding, the base is embellished with a twenty four point rayed star. Circa 1900, Bohemian or German. Article measured in centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch.
