MOSER TALL JEWELLED & ENAMELLED GLASS CHALICE |

A fine and impressive glass chalice, the wide green bowl sitting on a hollow waisted candlestick stem over a rounded hollow conical base. The bowl is set with a band of blue and ruby cabochons, with additional bands of ruby "jewels" to the stem and base, applied gilded prunts embellish the upper and lower stem sections. The whole chalice is hand decorated in finely executed polychrome enamels, gold and gilt work. Circa 1910-20, unmarked but certainly Moser, see "Moser Artistic Glass, Edition 2" by Gary Baldwin, The Glass Press Inc. 1997, page 131 for identically shaped example with similar jewelled decoration. Article measured in centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch.

Dimensions: Height 31.5cm/12.5in, diameter 14cm/5.75in.
